Scholars Day 2010

Students who are eligible to participate in Scholars Day will receive an invitation via postal mail by the end of January 2010. This is a special event designed for incoming freshman students starting at WSU in Fall 2010. If you have questions regarding eligibility, please visit www.scholarsday.wayne.edu/participate.php or contact Undergraduate Admissions at (313) 577-3577.

If you have received your invitation and would like to participate, just follow the instructions below to make your reservation and submit your required essay.

Scholars Day dates for 2010 will be February 6, 7, 13 and 14, 2010. The program is held during the morning and early afternoon.

Reservation and Essay Submission

Reservation and essay must be submitted by midnight on Thursday, February 11, 2010.

Please submit your reservation and essay via e-mail to scholarsday@wayne.edu. You will need to include the following information for your reservation:

  1. First and Last Name
  2. AccessID
  3. Phone number
  4. Date you wish to attend Scholars Day
  5. Number of guests that will attend with you

Students must submit a reservation and essay to participate in Scholars Day. The reservation and essay must be submitted at the same time and you can submit this information only once. Please ensure that you have prepared your essay to your satisfaction before you submit it.

Please write your essay based on the question below.

Describe the biggest public policy issue, social injustice or community need facing Detroit and propose your solution.

What

Scholars Day is an invitation only event for our incoming freshmen. The event is an opportunity to earn a scholarship and entry in to the Honors program.
