Invitation to Scholars Day
Participation in Scholars Day is by invitation only. To be considered for an invitation to attend, freshmen entering the university in fall must:
- Be admitted to Wayne State University by January 15 (apply online at www.apply.wayne.edu)
- Have ACT or SAT scores on record with Wayne State University by January 15
- Have a cumulative high school grade-point average of at least 3.50 at the end of the junior year in high school
Scholars Day for students entering WSU in fall 2010 will be held on February 6, 7, 13 and 14, 2010. Students must have all required materials submitted by January 15, 2010 for consideration.

Steps to Participate
- Invitations to eligible freshmen will be mailed from November 2009 through January 2010 for the Scholars Day 2010 program.
- Reservations must be made and an essay submitted to attend the program. The essay question and RSVP form can be found in the “Make Your Reservation” section of the Web site.
- Students must be invited, submit all required materials, and attend one of the Scholars Day dates to receive the minimum award and be considered for any increased award amounts.
- At the Scholars Day program students will participate in small group interviews, hear presentations from key offices, and take a campus tour.
- Students will be notified by mail of the award offer and will be required to accept or decline the offer.
